My primary research focus is in the area of personality and prosocial behavior. I am particularly interested in how both dispositional and situational factors interact to influence the decision to help a victim in need. I am also interested in the role of individual differences as predictors of interest in math and science in both children and adolescents. To date, my research has taken a traditional social cognitive person X situation approach to examine different domains of behavior, including helping behavior, occupational preference, social influence, and persuasion.
